The much-awaited two-day field trip to Shimoga came alive as a refreshing escape to nature’s lap, offering the perfect blend of adventure, learning, and joyful camaraderie for the students of Grade 10 and 12 (ICSE, IGCSE, and ISC). The trip was held on the 21st and 22nd of November 2025.
Day 1 began with an early start, followed by a hearty breakfast and a spiritually refreshing visit to Kalhattgiri Falls. Students then embarked on a scenic trek through the breathtaking trails of Kemmangundi—an experience filled with laughter, stunning landscapes, and invigorating adventure. The day wrapped up with a warm check-in, dinner, and a lively DJ night that lifted everyone’s spirits.
On Day 2, after breakfast and checkout, the group proceeded to the Sakrebyle Elephant Camp, where students loved the unique experiences of boating and bathing an elephant. The close encounters with tigers, lions, deer, and other wildlife at the Tyavarekoppa Lion & Tiger Safari proved both thrilling and educational. The journey continued with a tranquil visit to the serene Bhadra Dam, where students gained insights into power generation before beginning the return trip to Bangalore—ending the adventure with dinner en route and hearts full of joy.
We must say that the field trip to Shimoga was a resounding success, offering the right mix of exploration, learning, bonding, and fun. Students returned with unforgettable memories and a renewed appreciation for nature and wildlife.
